Problema con el SEO

El código de htaccess de Webempresa no funciona en otros servidores (lo digo por experiencia propia) y debes irte a algo más personalizado o genérico, tal como te sugiere lcanton.

Algunas de las cuestiones que puedes tener en cuenta para construir tu propio htaccess.

- Redirigir la URL sin www a la dirección con www

RewriteEngine On

- Como cambiar de la URL www para la dirección URL sin www

- Impedir listar el directorio

- Orden de ejecución de archivos

En Internet encontrarás muchas formas de configurar .htaccess para sacarle el rendimiento necesario, es cuestión de dedicarle un tiempo y hacer pruebas en un sitio que no sea de producción.

El hosting lo tengo contratado con Webempresa.
¿Puede ser que el código que he copiado en mi post anterior sea para Joomla y la web que me da problemas es Virtuemart?

Nada que ver, si el Hosting es de Webempresa entonces debería funcionarte. La mejor forma de asegurarte que pondrás el código correctamente es copiar el que te puse en la primera página de este hilo, ya que es el original de Webempresa y editar tu archivo htaccess desde el Administrador de Archivos de cPanel con la opción de "Editor de Código" y pegar dicho código y guardar los cambios y por supuesto verificar que se llame .htaccess y no de otra forma 😛

O descargate el archivo siguiente y renombralo despues de subirlo a tu Hosting. (es el archivo que se usa en los servidores de Webempresa).

Si no te funciona es porque al guardar el fichero no se está grabando, seguramente porque no tiene permisos.

Borra el htaccess que tienes vació y sube el fichero que te ha pasado gnumax, aquí tienes más info sobre el tema htaccess:

Mejor renombres el fichero htaccess.txt por .htaccess y lo subas.
